Chicago in Fall

Yesterday was the most beautiful fall day in Chicago. I spent the morning writing and hula hooping by Lake Michigan, and the afternoon and evening enjoying la cultura Mexicana con amigos. I watched them play basketball in the park in the fading light.

I found my yoga flow in the grass, moving through a few sun salutations.

I felt such a strong sense of peace and relaxation. Breathing and meditating; simply being present. I dedicated my practice to peace on the south side of Chicago, where we ate and laughed and enjoyed each other's company.

La vida, la vida, tengo la vida. Tengo paz.

I couldn't stop feeling grateful as I ate tortillas and salsa, smiling and speaking Spanish. Fresca, the air around us, the sense of compassion.

And then we danced the night away and drank Modelo beers, laughing long into the night, smiling full.

amor, amor, namaste
