hey, I’m rachel.

I believe that when we are quiet, we begin to see everything with love.

My mission is to serve writers, dreamers, and badass humans who are committed to healing, compassion, and transformation.

I am a writer, editor, yoga teacher, 8-time author and master-level Reiki practitioner.

I teach yoga and help people self-publish their books with confidence. You can read more about my work on my other website, Confident Authors.

I grew up in northern California and now live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I incorporate a variety of holistic practices into my routine, including yoga, contrast therapy, strength training, energy work, meditation, hiking, and walking. I am an ultra runner/marathoner turned daily walker.

I hope the site brings a little bit of calm your way, and I’m grateful that you’re here.

PS I recently changed my last name from Koontz to Warmath after getting married. You might see either of them around here on the site, but you’ll know it’s me. 😊

In the article, I share about my experience with contrast therapy (exposure to sauna at 185-195°F and cold plunge at 42-52°F).

Alive in the Fire’s Sponsored Yogis Program

Sponsored Yogis is a seva project where I spend a year connecting with several yogis around the country with the goal of helping them deepen their personal practice. I love this project and have found it has a profound impact on the lives of the yogis involved, as well as on my life.

Through Sponsored Yogis, we lift each other up and encourage each other to grow stronger.
